ECE eEPOS

In mobile network evolution (roll-out, care, extensions, modernizations, etc), planning, implementation, and verification phases follow each others, and continuous management of network elements, coverage maps, performance monitoring (KPI) is needed.
In this document eEPOS planning and optimization software tool is firstly introduced in general, and three different application areas are presented. One of these application areas is related to planning/deployment project management and monitoring, and a more detailed description about need, solution, and delivery in this area is given.

eEPOS is a planning and optimization tool offering a solution to manage all network equipment (base station HW, antenna lines, etc) in time dimensioning thus making it possible to carry out planning and optimization work but also to manage network coverage and performance day by day in different parts of operator’s organization (COO, CMO, CTO, Launch/Project Manager). All this happens throughout the whole network evolution from nominal plans to verification (performance monitoring).
As a result of using eEPOS tool, different reports (e.g. delta reports) can be provided for different comparisons and evaluations. Also implementation can be monitored efficiently day by day due to Mobile Access, and electrical reporting from the field immediately after integration. Moreover, coverage maps or coverage presentations as well as KPI presentations can be generated over digital maps (satellite/aerial photos, etc). Many of these reports/views can be generated in a tool, but also relevant interfaces to Excel and to other tools are provided for more detailed analysis if needed. Also web based portal is provided to show some ready made deliveries as an option.
This software solution can be delivered with relevant services handling software implementation and integration to other relevant databases (OSS, base station database, SAP, etc). Moreover, services include the usage of the tool (generation of the required reports, and presentation of them) as well as option to do GSM/UMTS900/2100 planning and optimization work.
